Hercules and the Cretan Bull

A great white bull rose out of the sea, a gift from Poseidon… but King Minos broke his promise, and the god made the bull wild. Now nobody on the island of Crete can stop it, and King Minos will not help. Hercules must catch it himself, and then bring it all the way across the sea.

The seventh of twelve bedtime tales that follow the real Greek myths of the Twelve Labours of Hercules, told in simple words for children aged 5 to 8, with a calm narrator, soft sea and hillside sounds and a quiet ending for sleep.
