The last and hardest labour of all: King Eurystheus sends Hercules down to the Underworld, to bring back Cerberus, the three-headed dog who guards its gate. Guided by Hermes, Hercules meets the shadows of heroes, frees Theseus, wrestles a herdsman, and asks Hades himself for permission… which he gets, if he can master Cerberus with no weapons at all.
The twelfth and final bedtime tale that follows the real Greek myths of the Twelve Labours of Hercules, told in simple words for children aged 5 to 8, with a calm narrator, soft night sounds and a quiet ending where Hercules remembers all twelve labours.
