Hercules and the Cattle of Geryon

King Eurystheus wants the red cattle of Geryon, a giant with three heads and three bodies who lives on an island at the very end of the world. Hercules walks across Europe and Africa, sets up the Pillars of Hercules, and dares to aim his bow at the Sun himself. Then he sails the great Ocean in the Sun's golden cup.

The tenth of twelve bedtime tales that follow the real Greek myths of the Twelve Labours of Hercules, told in simple words for children aged 5 to 8, with a calm narrator, soft countryside sounds and a quiet ending among the sleeping cattle.
